Use
First buy a licence then drop the script in the appropriate folder.
Make or select a rectangle then launch the script. A dialog prompts you to set your parameters.

The TRY version of BookBarcode is not limited in time, and allows you to create as much barcodes as you need. However, the customization features are disabled, the ISBN text frame synchronization is not supported, and a 30 seconds timer is used.
