If there is one thing in book publishing you can't foresee, that's the final number of pages and so forth the book width.
The author gives you changes and then the book has no longer 180 pages but 200, then 165 pages, then 184 pages...
How to efficiently design you covers binding if the book width is always changing ?
HurryCover is a script that will make you smile about that modifications.

Month are gone, your hardrive is full of achieved projects and it's time to make some cleaning and archives.
So you want to package all your documents with fonts and links to gather everything and put them aside correctly for further needs. Issue, using the native Indesign menu for all your projets is a very painfull operation.
Here is this a script that will automate that process for you !

For whatever reasons, here you are with two Indesign documents heavily similar. How much are they different ?
Maybe it's just a tiny coma but no way to dig into 200 pages without loosing an eye !
What if you just could preview them ?

In InDesign's interface, you can't change the PDF import options once the PDF is placed. Your only choice : reimport your PDF.
PDFOptionsEditor allows these changes…

Hi, a short message to inform you we have excellent ressources to come.
But then, why aren't they on Scriptopedia yet?
Answer : Eddy & moi only have two hands and a lot of work.
But be sure we do our best to offer you new scripts in best time.
If you can't wait that long, here is a collection that I have (re)discovered this day and that will join our library soon. Thanks Hiroyuki Sato for his agreement
You may also have a look on Kasyan Servetsky & Marc Autret websites. I hope I can offer all their scripts very quickly
And don't forget you are very welcome to come by and give a hand ;-)

It's a good idea to avoid extreme scaling both in expanding and reduction. And you may have to stay around 85/115% ratios.
But the best thing shouldn't be to let the pictures 100% scale ?
Yes but, your document is now compler, all your pictures placed and the last thing you want is spend time modifying all the pictures one by one. So who cares after all, I make my PDF, and let the publisher deals with that. If you do so, it's probably meaning you like playing to the russian roulette (can I just say that ?).
Consciously letting important scales values in Indesign, You are giving to the PDF Engine the control over your image resampling and it's like asking the baker to lay your carpet. And Photoshop does that so well...
Ok but It's not tellin me how to resize all my images in one step! Just use this script from Kasyan Servetsky that will ease your life !

You moved your pictures to another location, or just rename a harddrive but now Indesign can't find your links anymore ?
Panic on board, you have 12.684 links to update in your document et can't afford to spend your night on it. Thank Kasyan Servetsky who kindly allows us to share his scripts in this right place.
So here is one of his scripts that will make your day updating all your links and save you from a fatal nervous breakdown.

While surfing, I found a very interesting script that lead me toward its editor'website : AV Bros.
This site offers a lots of scripts & actions for Photoshop®. A few one are really great.
Some are free, others commercial but prices stay reasonable.
As the site's ressources can't be offered here (even the free ones), we will only introduce here their website. What I can say fo far, is that I have successfully used AV Bros. Circumscriber 1.1
